Compress, merge and sign PDFs without handing them to unknown websites

The contract to slim down, the scan to make searchable, the ten attachments to merge: all from one page, no account needed. The tools that need no server run in your browser; with a VEII account, the result goes back into the document it came from, as a new version.

The problem

Fixing a PDF costs more than it should

  1. Contracts, payslips and offers uploaded to a free service when you cannot tell where it keeps the files, or for how long.

  2. Two files a day, then the paid plan; or the PDF comes back with the site’s logo stamped on it.

  3. The result lands in Downloads, has to be uploaded back into the right folder, and the previous version is lost.

  4. Compressing or protecting a whole batch of documents means repeating the same clicks ten times.

The result

Minutes lost on every file, and the company’s documents scattered across other people’s services.

What it does

Every tool, where your documents already are

  1. Merge PDFs, split them by ranges, remove or extract pages, reorder them by dragging, and turn phone photos into a scanned PDF.

  2. Three compression levels, with the saving shown before you save. OCR adds an invisible text layer to scans: the PDF becomes searchable and copyable.

  3. Word, PowerPoint and Excel to PDF; PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and JPG. Conversions keep the content (headings, lists, tables), not the original page design.

  4. Rotate, crop, number the pages, add a watermark, text and images. Sign with your drawn signature, truly redact sensitive data, compare two versions.

  5. AES-256 passwords with print, copy and edit permissions; remove the password from a PDF you can open.

  6. Compress, rotate or protect up to 20 PDFs at once and save them as new versions. Get a PDF summarized or translated, or ask an agent: “compress the Rossi contract”.

Questions

PDF tools: frequently asked questions

01Are my files uploaded to a server?

For most tools, no: merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, signing, redacting, protecting and converting to JPG happen in your browser. Conversions to and from Word, PowerPoint and Excel, OCR, summaries and translations go through our server, up to 4 MB, and the file is not kept.

02What do they cost?

They are free and need no account: no daily file limit and no watermarks. With a VEII account, also free, the results stay in Documents with their versions and agents can work on them.

03Does converting to Word keep the layout?

It keeps the content: headings, paragraphs, lists and tables, with OCR for scans. Columns, exact positions and the original PDF’s graphics are not rebuilt.

04Can I work on many PDFs at once?

Yes: select up to 20 PDFs in the library and compress, rotate or protect them in one go. Each one can go back into its document as a new version.

05Can an agent do it for me?

Yes. Ask Lana or one of the company’s agents to compress, merge, split, rotate, protect or OCR a PDF in Documents: it finds it by title and saves the result as a new document or a new version.
