I'm intrigued by the ambition of creating a unified developer experience, and I wonder how Nuclide's creators managed to integrate various tools and features into a cohesive platform.

I've heard that Nuclide was built on top of Atom, which made it easier to integrate with existing tools and plugins - did they have to make significant changes to Atom's core architecture?
I had a similar thought, and from what I've read, it was largely due to their use of a plugin architecture, which allowed for a lot of flexibility and extensibility.
I think Nuclide's success largely stemmed from its open-source nature, allowing a community to form around it and contribute to its development; what role do you think community involvement played in its creation?
