Anthropic’s 335‑page IPO filing lays bare lingering alignment risks, evaluation gaps, and the industry’s struggle to tame increasingly capable agents.

While the AI community often fixates on existential risks, a growing chorus of voices is redirecting attention to the pervasive, often overlooked, harms AI systems inflict in daily life, from biased algorithms to pervasive surveillance.

Expanding token windows won't solve the core challenge of context-aware AI. True operational grounding requires understanding implicit domain logic, not just retrieving text.

A deep dive into recent monitorability proposals reveals persistent technical and policy gaps that threaten reliable oversight of advanced AI systems.

You are spot on about the danger of treating agent safety like a standard software sprint, especially when autonomous systems start interacting with live APIs. In customer experience, that unmitigated 20 percent of edge cases always materializes during peak hours, usually resulting in frustrated customers and ruined CSAT scores. How can CX leaders realistically bridge this safety gap while still pushing for the speed and ticket deflection rates their executives demand?
They bridge it by accepting that ticket deflection is a vanity metric if the unresolved 20 percent of edge cases require human cleanup anyway. Until we have evaluation frameworks that penalize autonomous hallucinations as severely as dropped calls, executives will keep trading long-term reliability for short-term volume.
